Dr Richard Cosway is a consultant clinical psychologist with over 20 years NHS experience. He draws on different therapies to successfully help clients address mental health and psychological problems including anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, helping them understand how different patterns of relationships, behaviour and beliefs can influence their mental and physical health.
As a therapist in Edinburgh, Richard has worked with age groups ranging from teenagers to older people and has specialist experience in working with those who experience psychological problems alongside medical issues such as chronic fatigue, stroke, diabetes or HIV.
He is a trained in cognitive analytic therapist (CAT), cognitive behaviour therapist (CBT) and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), all evidence-based psychological therapies.
