Physiotherapists take a holistic approach and consider the body as a whole, combining methods including manual therapy, movement and tailored exercise, and education and advice to help to restore movement to those affected by injury, disease or disability. The science-based practice of physiotherapy can be helpful for all ages and can be combined with other treatments dependant on your needs.

  • The physiotherapist will take a detailed history of your condition in order to understand the root issues of the ailment. They will discuss with you lifestyle and goals, before carrying out a physical examination, allowing them to create a bespoke evidence-based treatment plan to address your needs. Appointments times are either 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on required treatment.

  • We recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing which will allow the practitioner to easily access the joints, muscles and skin around the affected area, as well as shoes which are easily removed. If your physiotherapy is post-surgical, the physiotherapist may require your surgical notes.

  • This is entirely dependent on the nature of the issue and treatment.
